How do I know all my competitive quotes are really Apples to Apples or are some trying to sell me Oranges?
"I would try and get references from the company, make sure there salesperson was very knowledgeable and experienced in vinyl products. Make sure they have a storefront or a physical location - somewhere you can go and see they're business. Make sure they're licensed and make sure they have all their insurances in place (liability and workers-comp). Check the Better Business Bureau and make sure they do not have 10 complaints in 12 months (or in a short time period). In my 23 years of installations and business ownership, I have never seen a large number of unhappy people willing to go this far into the process unless the contractor is doing something wrong. Make sure they show you hand samples, you should be able to feel the exact product you are buying and take notes on the details of the product dimensions from one company to another. This is important because some will show you for example a 2" x 7" rail support and you will get a 1-1/2" x 5.5" installed! You may never realize it and get a lower grade product installed (even though you paid for the better product) you can prevent this by checking these dimensions up front. When shopping for vinyl fencing materials, remember that not all fencing or railing systems are created equal, you typically get what you pay for. Carefully compare the manufacturer's specifications for the thickness of the vinyl, and look at how the components are constructed and structurally reinforced. Also, compare the length of the manufacturer's warranties, as well as how much they will cover. The only common denominator in vinyl is its 'color' there are many differences in the performance of different PVC ingredients. When making a large purchase, being an informed customer is the most important step in your purchase process, and hopefully our website along with our professional team has answered with solid information, as we pride ourselves on only supplying the most superior vinyl products on the market. We are custom fabricators with the ability to make immediate corrections without an ordering delay, this means we custom build each job individually to ensure everything is perfect for each installation. Another thing we do is never get caught up in large fancy brochures from a manufacture. We have fully tested all our products (warranty and all) before we entered them into our product line, and before we install them at our customer's homes. Finally, we are a family business with great pride. we hope that our pride always shows in the quality of our installations, employees and workmanship."
